Do you know that many people starting a business come up with a product or service that they think will be great and then try to sell people on that idea? That has got to be the hardest way to run a business. They are constantly trying to convince everyone that they need what you have to offer. This puts you in the role of sales person instead of entrepreneur. You not only need to convince them that they should buy from you, but you also need to convince them to buy something they may not think they need and may not be looking for.

What’s a better option?
A better option is to find out what people are looking for. Do your research. Give people what they want! It’s easier to sell someone on a product or service when they are already looking for it. Then you only have to convince them to buy it from you.

You may know that a service or product might help people, but Just because you know your idea will help, doesn’t mean that they know it will. People buy what they perceive they need, not what you perceive they need.
