Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all are as excited for the new year as I am! This past year for me was one of learning about myself and getting inside myself to see who I want to be and to see what I have that I can offer to others. This year was a major transition for me career-wise. At the same time that I was busy being nervous that I was making a mistake in my career, it was also very exciting to be starting something new, something that I knew I was creating based on my heart and the knowledge that I have learned during my whole life.

This new year will hopefully bring even more positive changes into my life. In order for me to move forward, I need to delve into myself and find the courage to remain persistent in developing my ideas to not only grow my business, but to help you, my customers, to grow your businesses.

We all like to think that we are growing as a person. But how do you measure personal growth? There is much more to growing than just looking at your income. The new year is a great time to take stock on your various growth areas for the previous year and set goals for the new year. I’m not just talking about losing weight or making more money, I’m talking about learning and becoming a better person by strengthening your mind and improving your personality.

Here are some questions you should ask yourself each year as you review your growth throughout the past year:

What were my main goals for this past year? Have I obtained them?

Have I continuously performed major tasks in my business to the best of my abilities?

Have I continuously strived to be the best parent I could be for my children and my family?

Have I allowed myself to procrastinate on important issues? To what extent, and how has the hurt me?

Have I overcome any challenges that allowed me to improve upon myself or my personality? How much have I improved? How much did I hold back and not prove myself to my fullest extent?

What mistakes have I made when overcoming any challenges? How could I learn from these mistakes?

Have I persistently followed through with my plans throughout the year?

Have I been unfair to anyone? How has that hurt me? them?

Have I enabled my family to grow as a result of my actions?

If I were to rate my growth on a scale of 1 to 10, where would I put myself? Is this where I want to be?

Stay tuned for Thursday’s post where I will mention the questions you should ask yourself in moving forward into the new year.
