Many people set goals for themselves each year by making a list of their goals. They set goals such as lose x amount of weight, make x amount of money, develop x amount of new products or services for my business. How many of you actually sit down and think about how much you want to grow as a person?
Learning and improving upon our personality is so important. It not only makes us a nicer person to be around, but it can make us more successful. This year when you are making your list of goals, really dig down inside yourself and decide who you really want to be. Where do you really want to head?
Remember that the past is not your future and who you are right now can change in an instant. All you need is the right desire and the right mental picture to see where you want to go.
Here are some questions you can ask yourself while you are setting your goals for the year:
What personality trait is holding me back the most from reaching my dreams? In what ways can I help myself to overcome this trait and change it?
What mistakes have I made in the past? What can I do to avoid making those same mistakes in the future?
Is my business and my target market in alignment with my dreams? If not, what can I do to change it?
In what ways can I improve upon my services to my customers?
In what ways can I improve upon the relationships with my family members?
What obstacles or challenges do I foresee myself needing to overcome this year, and how can I best prepare for them?
What conferences or training will help best prepare me for the growth of my business? The growth of myself as a person?
What areas of life can I improve upon to ensure that I am having fun in my personal endeavors?
I hope these questions inspire you to really get to know yourself, and to improve upon who you are. When we are more secure with ourselves and what we are doing, we portray that confidence to others, and in return they begin to trust us and want to learn from us. Be the leader!
I wish you luck in the new year
