I tore my ACL a few weeks ago, and if you are anything like me, then you don’t even know this exists. Until I tore mine, I had no idea what that was. I now understand it is an important ligament in your knee. Without an ACL, your knee doesn’t work right and can hurt like crazy if it gives way.

Now, anyone who knows me will say that I am a VERY active person. I run, ski, figure skate, bike, hike, play tennis and other sports with the kids and other things I can’t think of right now. OMG! I’m even known to run to my kid’s bus stop.

That is, until 5 weeks ago. Now I don’t do much of anything. Walking around the neighborhood is painful. I am also one of those people who will avoid surgery at all costs. Surgery should only be done if absolutely necessary, in my opinion. I’m trying to find ACTIVE people who tore their ACL, did not have the surgery and are very happy being able to ski, or do other things, without their ligament.

Know anyone like that?? Send them my way. I would love to hear about their success!
