This post is the third in a series of how to build a brand for your business. A brand is another way of answering why are you in business, what are you offering, and what impression do you want your customers to get from you.
Everyone has a story. Everyone has a reason for starting their business. What is your story? It doesn’t matter what your story is. What matters is how you tell it.
Everyone loves to hear stories. Stories bind us together. People want to know about everyone else’s lives. Tell us about yours.
How did you get started in business?
Why did you choose what you did?
What challenges did you have to overcome to get where you are today?
What was the turning point in your life?
Tell your story with passion to everyone you meet. Stories told with passion tend to take on a new meaning for people. Passion brings out certain emotions. Emotion is what sells.
This is a part of branding that I struggle with. I know what my story is, but I have always been a pretty private person. The internet is very much a public place. Telling my story is something that requires courage for me and something I am still working on.
So what is your story? Do you have a story you want to share here? Just leave your story as a comment to this post.
