In order to stay motivated and excited for the long haul, you absolutely MUST be growing your business around your passions. As you grow your business, it’s important to come up with systems and strategies that are all in alignment with your passions, dreams and goals.
Is that new marketing strategy that you just adopted something that fits your personality? If it is, great. If it isn’t, then why not? Are you doing it because you feel you have to? Or are you doing it because it really is something that you feel you need to learn how to do in order to grow as a person?
If you are doing something because you feel you have to, then stop. Analyze why you chose that marketing strategy. Is there some way you can modify it, so that it more closely matches your personality? Is there something you could do instead? Is there some way you could delegate it, or even just parts of it? There are so many different ways to market a business that you shouldn’t feel tied to marketing it in ways that just don’t feel right to you.
There will always be tasks and things that we need to do as an entrepreneur that we would much rather not do, but chances are you did go into business because you were hoping to spend your days doing what you love most. Think about what you want your business to do for you.
Instead of letting your business run you, take charge. Design your marketing plan around you. Choose the clients you want to work for. Delegate tasks and setup systems to take care of the tasks that you just don’t enjoy.
