For several months I was testing out how to create a podcast and get it updated on iTunes and the like. My podcasts were on a separate wordpress blog while I was conducting my experiments. It was interesting how many subscribers I received despite the lack of marketing about it and not even having a link to it from my website. The numbers were not very high, but they were higher than I expected. Just an interesting little tidbit of knowledge.

I wanted to let you all know that I have a podcast. Last week I moved all my audios to this blog.

If you want to subscribe to just the podcast, you can click on the link in the top right-hand corner of my blog. If you subscribe to the blog, you will automatically receive any new audios that I post.

If you use iTunes and have an mp3 player, you can also subscribe through iTunes using this link => http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=315823682

And check this out. If you click on the iTunes link above and you have iTunes installed, it will even open up your iTunes application before displaying my podcast page. How cool is that? This was so exciting to me to find this out!

I have to admit that starting a podcast is more fun than I thought it would it be. The best part was playing with the music that I added to the template. I also enjoyed learning how to cut out sneezes and coughs and how to piece in any new recordings to pieces I didn’t like and wanted to fix.

Although it was quite confusing trying to figure out where to host the audio files and how to edit the audio and get it running smoothly on my blog.

Currently, my podcast consists of some of my good articles and my Ask Kim sessions. They are all listed in the ‘podcasts’ category, so you can find them quickly.

Stay tuned for information on how to setup your own podcast. I plan to put together some material to help you out. I spent a lot of time researching the best way to do things, so I thought I would share it with you. Once you get things setup properly, creating new podcasts is a piece of cake.
