All week I have been reading about the earthquake in Haiti. A few months ago I had made a note to myself that I would offer a portion of my sales for Emergency Relief the next time something like this happens.
After reading about the 5 year old boy who survived for 8 days in some rubble, but no longer had a mom and his dad is missing, I decided that donating specifically to the children was what I really need to do.
I was reading about adoption in Haiti. BEFORE the quake there were over 200,000 Haitian children waiting to be adopted. That number will be significantly higher now. Haiti has no government adoption agencies, so I figured the best way to help these children was to donate to UNICEF. I wanted to make sure my donation went directly to the children in Haiti.
100% of donations to UNICEF are used to save children’s lives. Right now their donations are all going to Haiti.
